Wallaceburg Thrashers come up short in opener

A new era began this afternoon at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena.

The Wallaceburg Thrashers played their first-ever game in the Ontario Senior ‘B’ Lacrosse league.

Despite a strong showing and close game against the Six Nations Rivermen, Wallaceburg lost 10-7.

Chadd Murphy led the way for the Thrashers with 2 goals and 2 assists.

Reid Miller and Kyle Childerhose each had a goal and 2 assists, while David Veitch, Kyle O’Donnell and Winter Dockstater each scored single goals.

Clint Lamarsh and Trevor Learn each had two assists.

Tyler Glebe made 31 saves in the loss.

MMA star turned lacrosse player, Jesse Gross got into a fight as well.

Wallaceburg will hit the road in their next game on Saturday, May 9 to face Ennismore.
