At 3:11 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, dime to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
The thunderstorms are located along a northeast to southwest line near Ridgetown and are moving northeast at 65 km/h. Wind gusts of 90 km/h or greater will be possible with these thunderstorms along with hail to 2 cm in diameter.
Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Thunderstorms are expected to begin this afternoon and persist into early evening.
