The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving in Chatham.
Around 8:45 p.m. last night, police received information about a possible impaired driver in the area of Grand Avenue.
An officer on general patrol located the man driving a truck and initiated a traffic stop on Prince Albert Road.
Through investigation, the officer suspected the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol and a roadside test was administered to which he failed.
The man was taken into custody and transported to OPP headquarters for breath tests.
An 18-year-old Dresden man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
His vehicle was impounded for 7 days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.
He was released with conditions pending a future court date of June 30, 2015.
