Yesterday, the Chatham-Kent police received four separate calls from citizens reporting suspicious telephone calls from people purporting to be from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
Each person was told they owed the government money and were requested to provide personal information.
We would like to remind everyone that should you receive a similar type of call, hang up and report the incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
