Will increased fines stop you from ‘distracted driving’?

Some new traffic rules which started at the beginning of the month has raised the fines for distracted driving in the province on Ontario.

The fines have increased to $300-$1000 along with three demerit points. That’s up from the former fine of $225-$500 and no demerit points.

We wanted to know if these increased fines changes anyone’s ways when it came to distracted driving.

It was refreshing to see the majority of people had already put their phones down so to speak, but appears some people are still not being deterred by the heftier fines.
