Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 56-year-old man has been charged following a reported break-in and ongoing harassment complaint in Chatham.
Police responded around 1:36 a.m. on July 9 to a residence on Third Street after a caller reported someone had entered the home without permission.
The complainant identified the suspect, noting previous incidents involving the same individual, including a physical altercation during an attempted break-in on June 28.
The man later turned himself in at Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters. He is charged with criminal harassment, unlawfully being in a dwelling, and trespassing at night. He was released with a court date of August 18, 2025.
