High winds are already causing some damage across the community.

Police officials say wind is to blame in Wallaceburg for knocking over a street light and hydro wires around 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Nelson and Wellington.

The road was closed for some time, but it has since been cleaned up and re-opened.

There were no injuries.
