COOK: James Lloyd age 89 of Tilbury formerly of Dresden passed away Monday January 25, 2016 at Tilbury Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Dresden son of the late Garnet and Marion (Lambkin) Cook. Jim was a member and Past President of Royal Canadian Legion Br. 113 of Dresden. Predeceased by his wife Ruby (Handsor) Cook (1998) and loving companion Beverley Estabrooks (2007). Dear father of Donald Cook (Bonnie) of Dresden, daughter-in-law Charlene Grayer-Cook (Jim Jr. predeceased), step father of Kelly Estabrooks of Glencoe, devoted grandfather (Papa) of Jordan, Steven (Cori), Jeff (Lauren), Amber, Tyler (Melanie), Samantha (Chris), Charlotte (Ken), sadly missed by great grandchildren, sisters: Virginia Travis (Wayne) of Chatham and Mary Lou Burnett (Cecil predeceased) of Chatham, brother: Jarvis Cook (Janet) of Dresden, sister-in-law Thelma Cook of Dresden also missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Eleanor Brown and brother Gerald Cook and sister-in-law Victoria.
Visitors will be received at the Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home 620 Cross St. Dresden Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home Friday January 29,2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Brian Anderson of Community Fellowship Baptist Church Wallaceburg officiating. Cremation to follow with interment of cremains at a later date. There will be a Legion walk through at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
