Whiskey bottle smashes glass door

A Wallaceburg man is facing charges after a whiskey bottle was sent flying through a glass door.

Chatham-Kent police say this morning around 1 a.m. officers responded to a residence in Wallaceburg in regards to a mischief complaint.

Through investigation, police learned that around 11:30 p.m. the man attended the victim’s residence.

The man was asked to leave the residence as he was not welcome.

As the two men, known to each other started arguing, the man threw a whiskey bottle and shattered a glass door.

The man fled the area prior to police arrival.

Damage was estimated at $100.

Just before 4:00 a.m. officers located the man and he was taken into custody.

The 26-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with mischief under $5,000.

He will be released when sober with conditions pending a future court date of April 8, 2016.
