Pills, pot and weapons seized after Erieau drug bust

Three Erieau residents face drug charges after over $13,000 worth of drugs were seized by the Chatham-Kent police.

Police officials say yesterday afternoon, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Unit ‎with assistance from the Community Patrol Branch executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Bayview Avenue in Erieau.

330 hydromorphone capsules valued at $12,000 and $1,250 worth of cannabis marihuana was seized.

Over $4,000 in Canadian currency, a collapsible baton, shotgun and large quantity of ammunition was also seized.

A 62-year-old man, 58-year-old woman, 30-year-old man, all from Erieau, have been arrested and charged with various drug and weapon related offences.

All three have been released pending a future court date of May 12, 2016.
