Mrs Maryanne “Midge” Knowles passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Chatham Kent Hospice on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the age of 63 years.
Midge was born in Southampton, England and is a loving daughter of Hilda (Rowe) Hooper and the late Walter Hooper of Netley Southampton, England. Loving and devoted mother of Karen & Jeff Schepens and Ali & Rob Bowles. Cherished Nanny to Hailee, Justin, Preston and Gavin. Kind sister of Pete (Deb) Hooper of Dresden, Debbie (Ian) Stovold, Melvin (Chris) Hooper, Jayne (John) Wallbridge and Wally Hooper, all of England. Kind sister-in-law of Geoff Hallett, and Anne Hooper both in England. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her sister Brenda Hallett, her brother Malcolm Hooper and her former husband Alan Knowles.
Following with her wishes, cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham Kent Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Maryanne “Midge” Knowles.
