Joyce Irene Hornbostel of Chatham and formerly of Wallaceburg, died peacefully at Eden Villa on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in her 95th year.
Joyce is the daughter of the late Leonard Sidney & Mabel Kate (Lawrence) Powell. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 1995. She is survived by her son Norman and her daughter Judy (Glenn) Grenier and her grandchildren Terry Thompson, Tammy (Ray) Palocz and Jodie (Lamont) Burton. Much loved by her great grandchildren Paige, Peyton, Brandi, Gerrett and Devon. Sister of the late Linda Mitchell.
Joyce and her husband George were the former proprietors of the Wallaceburg Inn.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg in the hour prior to the funeral, from 12:30 – 1:30 on Tuesday, May 17. The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:30 PM. Interment to follow in Riverview Cemetery.
