A Belle River man has died following a rollover crash on Monday evening.
OPP officials say on September 5, 2016 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Lakeshore Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members, Lakeshore Fire Department and Essex Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended the scene of a single vehicle rollover on Essex County Road 22, east of the Town of Belle River, Ontario.
A grey Ford was travelling Northbound on a stretch of Essex County Road 22 between, Essex County Road 2 and Essex County Road 42 when it left the roadway and rolled over several times.
The lone occupant of the vehicle, Michael Marchand, age 27 of Belle River was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Essex County Road 22 between Essex County Road 2 and Essex County Road 42 was set to be closed until approximately 2:00 a.m. as the OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigators complete the investigation.
