A young child was uninjured after a crash in Dover Township on Wednesday, while the driver is facing drinking and driving charges.
Police officials say last night around 9 p.m. emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Bay Line east of Winterline Road in Dover Township.
Luckily, neither the woman nor young child in the vehicle at the time of the collision were physically injured.
A family member was called to the scene to take custody of the child.
Through investigation, police believed the woman was driving her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested.
The woman was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
The 30-year-old Chatham woman was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
She was released pending a future court date of September 23, 2016.
