Police are looking for a suspect after a violent attack in Sarnia.
On Monday, September 12th, 2016 at approximately 4:00 pm, a male pedestrian was assaulted by another male in the area of Lincoln Park Avenue and Cecil Street in the City of Sarnia. The unknown suspect engaged in a verbal exchange wiith the male victim, followed by a violent assault. The suspect fled from the scene in his motor vehicle.
The male victim, 54 years of age, became unconscious and fell to the ground. He was assisted by his family that was with him as well as area residents and EMS personnel.
The victim was transported to Bluewater Health with serious injuries and was eventually transferred to London Health Sciences for continued care.
The suspect is described as being in his 20’s, slender build, wearing dark clothing and was operating an older model white Mazda hatchback with rust around the wheel wells.
