Myrtle Davis

c99de01f-7bab-49a9-957d-2d3cbca8e29dDavis: Myrtle Catherine passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the age of 92. Born in Chatham Township, daughter of the late George and Arnettie (Richardson) Highgate.

Beloved wife of the late James Edward Davis (1996). She is predeceased by her brothers George, Garnet and Archie Highgate and sisters Irene Travis and Alma Johnson. She is survived by her brothers William of Windsor and John (Jean) of Waterloo and three sisters-in-law Beatrice Burnett, Burene Highgate and Wilbur Highgate.

Loving mother and grandmother of Michael and Lorraine Davis of British Columbia and their children, Kaitlyn and Gabriel; Gary Davis of Lindsay and his children, Daryl and Adam (Ami); Bradley Davis of China and his children, Reuben (Virginia), Aaron and Mary Ruth; Kathryn and Garry Tatsu of Chatham and their children, Kirk (Monique), Corey (Jenn) and Kristyn (Darrell). Myrtle was the proud great-grandmother of twelve great grandchildren. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, Dresden on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Koppes officiating.

Interment will follow in Dresden Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Myrtle’s life may be made to the Gideon’s, Chatham-Kent Hospice or Praise Fellowship Soup Kitchen. Online donations and condolences may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com.
