In a close battle with Hilary Clinton, Trump captured (unofficially) 289 electoral votes across the country, while the Democratic candidate won only 218. The winner needed to gather 270 electoral votes to be declared the winner.

While the news is personally a shock, the American people have obviously spoken and despite many of the pre-election polls pointing towards a Clinton win… it was Trump who prevailed.

As the results poured in, and it became apparent that Trump was heading towards victory, it appears many Americans were flocking to the site, looking for a way to get out.
However, this is just speculation and CIC officials have yet to issue a reason for the outage.
