Cyclists will take to the streets this August for a slow-roll into WAMBO weekend, bringing people of all ages and abilities together for an evening cruise through Wallaceburg filled with socialization and discovery.
Community Living Wallaceburg is continuing its partnership with the Glasstown Brewing Company for the event, known as 3Rivers Roll.
“This experience is the perfect way to gear up our community for a fantastic weekend of cars, boats, and festivities,” said Andrew Dawson, Fund Development and Communications Specialist with Community Living Wallaceburg. “We’re excited for cyclists to experience the route we have planned this August and are hopeful they’ll gather on the Glasstown patio following the ride to enjoy dinner, with a portion of sales directly supporting Community Living Wallaceburg.”
Live entertainment during the brewery’s open mic night will provide the complement for dinner following the ride.
The police-escorted ride rolls out at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, and is free for all participants. Ken’s Cycle will be on site to offer light bike maintenance at no cost.
The evening will also provide the first opportunity for community members to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a Paris 48V Deluxe e-bike, valued at $1,000, thanks to a donation from Wallaceburg E-Bike and Mobility Scooters Inc. Tickets are $10 each and will be available from August 6 to 20 at 1100 Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.
The event is made possible through sponsorship from mPower Electric Inc., Eternity’s Touch Inc., and Ken’s Cycle. Community Living Wallaceburg will be accepting monetary donations throughout the evening to enhance supports and services, helping foster inclusion, promote active citizenship, and strengthen the community as a whole.
