Chatham-Kent police have released photos of the damage to the Veterans Memorial Crosswalk in downtown Erieau, along with surveillance images of a truck believed to be involved, as they seek the public’s help identifying those responsible.
Investigators say the damage occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, July 25, 2026, at approximately 2 a.m.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or who may have dash camera, security camera or cellphone footage from around the time of the incident, to come forward.
