Remembrance Day ceremony in Wallaceburg – See Photos

For the second straight year, the community Remembrance Day ceremony got started at Wallaceburg District Secondary School. After the ceremony at the school, Legion members marched towards the Wallaceburg Cenotaph.

From there, an outdoor ceremony was held.

  1. Great job Linda. So glad we have this wonderful newspaper Aaron and Dana. This brought back memories of marching to the cenotaph enmasse as WDSS cadets. We were so proud to do so. My Dad was Legion president for many years..Harry Barnes. He did not go overseas but served in RECCE division teaching mechanics in Kentucky. He was away a long time . My Mom worked in the factories to help the effort and raised 3 kids alone. It was not an easy time. I weep for those who were lost then and now. May Peace reign soon . No more lost lives due to war. Keep up the good work Current
