Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith is set to make his debut tonight for the Florida Panthers in Montreal.

The 23-year-old winger practiced with Denis Malgin and Colton Sceviour, and is expected to skate with them on the Panthers third line when they face the Montreal Canadiens.

Griffith will wear #24 for Florida.

Griffith skated in three games this season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, who picked him up off of waivers from the Boston Bruins at the start of the season.

The Panthers picked him up on the weekend, after the Leafs sent him back to the waiver wire.

During the 2015-16 season Griffith recorded 77 points (24-53-77) in 57 games with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

His 77 points ranked him second in AHL scoring, while his 53 assists ranked him first in the league. In the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs, Griffith recorded three points (1-2-3) in three postseason games.

Griffith has played in 37 NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs (2016-17) and Boston Bruins (2014-16) recording 11 points (6-5-11).

The 5-foot-9, 191-pound former London Knight was originally selected by the Boston Bruins in the fifth round (131st overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.
