Update: $2M damage after Chatham blaze

Damage has been estimated at $2 million dollars, after a weekend blaze at a plaza on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police officials say early Sunday morning, police and fire personnel responded to a structure fire at Sacwal Flooring after a passerby called 911. The Lighting and Accent Gallery and Ideal Decorating is located in the same section of businesses.

No one was injured, police say.

The Ontario Fire Marshall has been contacted and is assisting police and fire officials with determining the origin and cause of the fire.
