Two men face assault charges, following an altercation last weekend outside a Tim Hortons in Wallaceburg.
Police officials say two males had a verbal confrontation on May 19. The altercation was defused by a friend of one of the men, while one involved party left the Tim Hortons, police officials allege.
The two men remaining at Tim Hortons were leaving when a vehicle pulled into the lot.
The man from the earlier altercation had allegedly returned along with three of his friends.
The vehicle emptied and the man who had defused the original altercation was allegedly thrown to the ground and assaulted by two of the newly arrived men.
Following the assault the men from the vehicle fled the area.
Police were able to identify all involved parties and arrested two men for assault.
They were released with conditions and a court date.
