Yard equipment stolen from Lambton business

Police are investigating after a commercial break-and-enter in Lambton County.

OPP officials say on Monday May 22 just before 9 a.m., officers were dispatched to a commercial break and enter in the 400 block of Plympton Street, Town of Plympton-Wyoming, ON.

Lambton County OPP attended the address and upon arrival was informed by the victim that at some time overnight, unknown person(s) gained entry onto the property by cutting a hole in the back wire fence.

Once on the property, the culprits stole a variety of yard equipment including chainsaws, climbing tools and safety equipment.

The total estimated value of the stolen equipment is in excess of $20,000.

A Lambton OPP Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) was requested and did attend the scene to assist with the investigation.

The Lambton County OPP is asking that if anyone has any information regarding the person(s) involved in this break, enter and theft or information as to the location of the stolen property, to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 882-1011, or their nearest police authority.
