A woman is dead, and a man is in custody as the OPP launch a death investigation in Leamington.
OPP officials say on June 28, at approximately 8:30 p.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 911 call on Talbot Street East, Leamington, Ontario where the body of a 46-year-old woman was discovered.
As a result, the OPP currently have a 51-year-old Leamington man in custody.
The OPP has secured scenes at a commercial location on Talbot Street East and a residence in the 200 block of Erie Street South pending further investigation.
Princess Street between Talbot Road East and Orange Street will remain closed overnight.
The investigation is under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and further information will be provided when it becomes available.
The OPP want to ensure that public safety is not a concern.
