Update: Victim identified after fatal crash

The victim of a fatal crash in Lambton County earlier this month has been identified.

Lambton OPP officials say on May 1, 2019 at 9:45 p.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Oil Heritage Road just north of Douglas Line in Plympton Township to investigate a single motor vehicle collision.

“Due to the severity of the collision and the fact that the motor vehicle was engulfed in flames, identifying the deceased proved difficult,” OPP officials said in a media release.

“On (Monday, May 13) and with the assistance of the Provincial Coroner’s Office, the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made a positive identification.”

Philip Price Todd, 42-years-of-age of Waterford, Michigan is deceased as a result of the collision.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
