The Wallaceburg & District Ministerial hosted a Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on Friday, May 31 at the UAW Hall in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff and Councillors Karen Kirkwood-Whyte, Mary Clare Latimer, Joe Faas, Carmen McGregor and Aaron Hall were all is attendance.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP Bev Shipley also attended the event.
Several leaders from the Ministerial provided remarks and prayers during the event, which had taken an approximate 20-year hiatus.
The intention of the breakfast was to enjoy a time of fellowship, prayer and faith for community leaders in Chatham-Kent, organizers said.
All proceeds went to support the housing and prevention of homelessness within Chatham-Kent.
The UAW also provided the hall free of charge to the organizers.
