Basketball Wallaceburg committee member Renee VanDamme Marcus recently received a cheque for $1,000 from Chris Baertsoen and Ian Dent of the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame.
The money will go towards the purchase of two new basketball nets and backboards for their house league Grades 2-5.
Since its inception, the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame has donated over $235,000 back to the community for local sports.
