20 ‘weather related’ crashes on Tuesday

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to multiple weather related crashes on Tuesday, December 31.

“As a result of the snowy conditions yesterday, officers were kept busy responding to 20 motor vehicle collisions throughout the day,” Chatham-Kent Police Service officials said in a media release.

“No serious injuries were reported in any of them.”

The Chatham-Kent Police would like to remind motorists to slow down when driving in snowy or icy conditions.

“Give yourself more time to arrive to your destination and leave extra space between your vehicles,” police officials stated.

“We want you to safely reach your destination.”
