The Wallaceburg Tartans Girls Hockey Team is hoping to fill Wallaceburg Memorial Arena on Monday, March 9 when they host L’Essor in the SWOSSAA Championship game.
“These girls are chasing history,” Tom Peel, the team’s head coach, said on social media.
“Winner moves on to OFSAA championships… where no Tartan hockey team has been before.”
The game will be held at 5 p.m.
“Thank you to our friends at Wallaceburg Minor Hockey for helping with ice availability,” Peel added.
OFSAA is set to be held in Stratford.
The Tartans successfully defended their LKSSAA crown last month, when they topped the LCCVI Lancers in the LKSSAA finals by a score of 6-0 at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena.
