Wallaceburg arts council postpones upcoming concerts

A pair of upcoming concerts in Wallaceburg have been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.

“The Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts regrets to announce that the performances by Durham County Poets, scheduled for March 28, 2020 and Cliff Erickson, scheduled for April 24, 2020 have been postponed,” Arts council officials said in a press release.

“The Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts hopes to reschedule these acts for a future date and will provide details if and when a rescheduled date is determined as soon as possible. The Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts and the artists apologize for any inconvenience this postponement may cause.”

Ticket holders can contact their original point of sale for a refund, Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts officials stated.

More information will be released as it is available, officials say.

“The top priority for The Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts is the safety and well-being of our guests, volunteers, and performers,” Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts officials stated.

“We are closely monitoring the developing situation surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Ontario. We also recommend staying personally informed on the status of Coronavirus in Canada.”

A decision regarding Michael Shatte and Rondeau: The Musical scheduled for June 12 and 13 respectively will be made in the coming few weeks, Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts say.

“Thank you for your understanding and patience in these challenging times.”
