Lambton OPP officials allege: On April 1, 2020 at approximately 9:50 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Bentpath Line in St. Clair Township, where both occupants fled the scene on foot.
Initial investigation revealed the occupants of the motor vehicle were persons of interest for an offence that occurred in Chatham-Kent.
West Region (WR) Canine Unit (K9), WR Emergency Response Team (ERT), WR Tactical Response Unit (TRU) and OPP Aviation Services attended to assist.
The WR K9 Unit located the first suspect.
At approximately 3 p.m, the second suspect was taken into custody.
Both suspects were arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service.
