Several centimetres of snow possible, frost advisory issued

Environment Canada officials say several centimetres of snow is possible overnight and a frost advisory has been issued across Chatham-Kent.

“Near zero temperatures are expected to result in frost or freeze conditions overnight into Monday morning,” forecasters say.

“Along with these frost or freeze conditions several centimetres of snow are possible tonight into Monday morning.”

Near freezing temperatures overnight are expected to persist for much of the week as a cold air mass has settled into the area, Environment Canada officials say .

“Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees,” forecasters added.
