Vehicle and pop-up trailer stolen in Wallaceburg

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating a pair of separate thefts in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege yesterday morning, officers responded to the report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on University Avenue.

“A house guest stole the keys from the homeowner and left with her white 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe,” police officials said in a media release.

“The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plates BRNH 193.”

In a separate incident, police officials allege sometime between Saturday night at 11 p.m. and yesterday morning at 11 a.m. unknown suspects stole a 1987 white pop-up trailer from a property on Water Street in Wallaceburg.

The trailer was last seen with Ontario license plate H5674W.
