Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots two-year-old trotting colts and geldings were impressive at Dresden Raceway’s final card of the 2020 season.

The two-year-old Muscle Mass colt is owned by Les Ecuries Dorleans Inc, Gestion C Levesque 2005inc, Mario J Bourgea, and Marc R Camirand while Jacques Dupont is the conditioner.

Scott Coulter guided Tymal Chrome to victory in the second division of freshmen trotters in 2:04.4.

The third division of O.S.S. trotters saw the Blake Macintosh trained Arch Hall take the lead down the backstretch and never look back for driver Paul MacKenzie.

Insanity and Brett McDonald led to the half in 1:01.2 after a 30 second opening quarter.

MacKenzie took the Archangel colt out of the two hole and led past three quarters in 1:33 for a win in 2:03.1.

MacIntosh co-owns Arch Angel with Hutt Racing Stable.

Los Ballykeelamigo and Tyler Borth took the first division of OSS Prospect Series three-year-old trotting colts while Northern Flame and Phil Hudon took the second Prospect Series.

Borth had three wins on the day which gave him the dash title at Dresden Raceway with 23 wins over the nine card season while Gord McDonell was the leading dash trainer with 10 wins on the year.

The average handle this season was just under $23,000 per day as for the first time in history Dresden relied on internet wagering.

The final two days of the year the half mile track saw live wagering with limited patrons and the handle boosted 21% and 24% respectively.
