Traffic stop leads to drug charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Trafalgar Street in Wallaceburg.
The woman verbally identified herself, however through investigation, the officer learned her true identity and confirmed that she was suspended from driving.
The woman was arrested and upon being searched was found to be in possession of suspected liquid hydromorphone and liquid Fentanyl.
A 26-year-old Port Lambton woman was charged with driving while under suspension, driving with a dirty plate, obstruct police and two counts of drug possession.
She was released pending a future court date of December 17, 2020.
Disturbance leads to weapon charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police responded to the report of a man found bleeding in a parking lot on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was assaulted during a verbal altercation by another man, known to him, with a knife.
The man fled the residence for help.
Officers attended the residence on Ursuline Avenue and the 21-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested.
Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
He has been charged with aggravated assault, being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failing to comply with his release conditions and drug possession.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The victim, a 22-year-old Chatham man, was treated and released from the hospital for his injuries.
Family dispute leads to assault charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a family dispute at a residence in Tilbury.
Through investigation, police learned that the man assaulted a family member in the home, breaking her eye glasses.
Officers located the man a short time later and he was arrested.
The 26-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man charged with breaching his curfew
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 8, 2020 the man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions.
One of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Last night, just before 11 p.m. an officer on general patrol in Thamesville, observed the man exit a residence on Jane Road.
The 31-year-old Bothwell man was arrested and charged with breaching his curfew.
He was also arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to comply with his release conditions and failing to attend the Courthouse to provide a sample of his DNA.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police stop ATV, driver charged
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police initiated a traffic stop with an ATV on Bridle Path Road in Wallaceburg.
The driver, a 28-year-old Wallaceburg man, was charged with driving while under suspension, failing to have an insurance card and driving off road vehicle with no number plate.
He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on December 16, 2020.
Stolen car in Wallaceburg
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 6 a.m. unknown suspects stole a 2008 silver BMW from a residence on Elgin Street.
Yesterday afternoon, the vehicle was recovered on Walpole Island.

Break and enter in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 1 a.m. this morning, police responded to an alarm at Tropical Paradise on Keil Drive.
Upon police arrival, officers observed that the front glass door was smashed.
Officers located the stolen cash box in the area of McKinnon Drive and Orchard Heights Drive.
Total damage has been estimated at $1,500.

Break and enter to Thamesville storage units
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 7, 2020 sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 3:15 a.m., unknown suspects entered several storage units.
Police are still working with owners to determine what was stolen.

Theft
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 7, 2020 at approximately 10 a.m., police attended a business on Richmond Street in Chatham.
The owner discovered that the stereo was removed from his trailered boat, which was being prepared for storage.
The thief left his wallet behind.
The 43-year-old Chatham man admitted to the theft and was arrested for theft and possession of stolen property.
He was later released with a future court date to answer to the charges.
Break and enter
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 7, 2020 at approximately 3 p.m., police attended a residence on Pioneer Line in Chatham.
Sometime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., unknown suspects entered the residence by breaking out a rear window, and stole approximately $3,500 in electronics.
