Cocaine, steroids, psilocybin, LSD & MDMA seized during two busts

The Chatham-Kent Police Service seized a quantity of cocaine, psilocybin, LSD and MDMA during two drug busts on Thursday, December 10, 2020.

Police officials allege on members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Drug/Intelligence Section executed a warrant on St. Michael Avenue in Chatham.

“During the search, officers located over $80,000 worth of cocaine, as well as approximately $10,000 in anabolic steroids,” police officials allege.

A 40-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.

They were both released on a Form 10 with a future court date of January 28, 2021.

In a separate incident, also on December 10, 2020, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Drug/Intelligence Section executed a search warrant on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

“A search of the residence was conducted and $60,000 worth of cocaine, psilocybin, LSD and MDMA was found in the residence,” police officials allege.

“Several firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and $11,200 in cash were also seized.”

The 22-year-old Chatham man now faces numerous charges.

He was released on a form 10 and is required to appear in court on January 28, 2021.
