Joan Sharrow of Wallaceburg

Joan Nancy Sharrow (nee Huehn) a resident of Wallaceburg, died December 28, 2020 in her 90th year while residing in Calgary.

Predeceased by her husband William John Sharrow (1998).

Dear mother of William and his wife Vicky Sharrow of Chatham and Cindy and her husband David Hill of Calgary.

Cherished Grandma of Billy and Sherri Sharrow, Dan and Michelle Sharrow, Jennifer and Ron Benoit, Zachary Carroll and Cashmere Johnson, Luciann and Courtney Carroll, Kelly and Scott Slater, Tricia and Ian Beatle, Crystal and Jaymee Houle, Candy and Brad Gray, Amanda Hill and Andrew Rose, Brooke and Billy Silva, Jon Hill and Megan Lauoie.

Great Grandma of William and Atley Carroll, Sarah and Julianna Sharrow, Aidan Sharrow, Brandon and Amber Benoit, Mathew and Ava Slater, Cam and Jake Beatle, Logan and Avery Houle, Nate, Lucas and Noah Gray, Alivia Rose and Grace Silva.

Joan was a grandma to all; many people didn’t know her first name knew her only by grandma.

She loved each and everyone like they were one of her own children.

Dear sister of the late Ross Huehn and his wife Nancy, the late Helen Garner, the late Marj Heathers, the late Burton Huehn and his wife Ruth and the late Gloria South.

Joan volunteered for breakfast club and was Queen of the Red Hats.

She never missed a Blue Jays game and attended as many of her grandchildren’s sporting events as she could.

She loved to travel and to play cards daily with her son-in-law David.

Over the years Joan worked at Waltec (Brass), Eaton Yale, Oxford and finished her years of work at Lapointe Fisher Nursing Home (1996).

She moved to Calgary in 2008 to live with her daughter Cindy and her family.

Visiting will be held at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 1 – 4 PM on Tuesday, January 5.

A private family funeral and burial in Riverview Cemetery will be held.
