Police: Assault, theft, warrants executed

Pair charged with domestic related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation.

The 28-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were both arrested and charged with assault.

They were released with conditions pending a future court date of February 5, 2021.

Man charged with theft

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last month, the man attended the LCBO on St. Clair Street in Chatham and concealed five (5) 375ml bottles of Wiser’s Old Fashioned whisky in his coat.

The man left the store making no attempt to pay for the alcohol.

Through investigation, police identified the man and he was arrested last night.

A 24-year-old Chatham man has been charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

He was released pending a future court of January 22, 2021.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, a man wanted for domestic related offences attended police headquarters and turned himself in.

The 38-year-old Dover Township man was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

He was released with a future court date of February 3, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police arrested a woman in Wallaceburg who was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

The 26-year-old woman was released pending a future court date of February 5, 2021.
