Stolen vehicle leads to warrant arrest
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, while on general patrol, police located a stolen vehicle out of Sarnia on Victoria Road in Ridgetown.
A 44 year-old Petrolia man was found to be in possession of the stolen vehicle.
Police checks revealed that he was also wanted by the Ontario Provincial Police.
The man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was charged with possession of stolen property.
Custody was transferred over to the OPP.
Police arrest suspect in multiple thefts
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Friday morning, a man broke into a vehicle on Gregory Drive in Chatham stealing one of the victim’s wallet.
The man then broke into a work trailer down the street taking several thousand dollars’ worth of tools.
Later on that day the suspect used the first victims credit/debit cards making over $200 in purchases.
Police were able to capture an image of the suspect.
Yesterday morning, while on general patrol, police located the man.
A 23 year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with; theft, possession of stolen property, trespass at night, mischief and unauthorized use of credit card.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Warrant arrests
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening, while on general police located a female currently wanted for failing to comply with her probation order in a parking lot on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
A Wallaceburg woman was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters.
She was released from custody pending a future court date.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning, while on general patrol police located a man currently wanted for failing to attend court on Queen Street in Chatham.
A Chatham man was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters.
He was released from custody pending a future court date.
