Jim Brown of Wallaceburg

James Graham Brown of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at the CKHA-Sydenham Campus on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the age of 94.

Jim is the son of the late Newton and Mabel (Sauders) Brown.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Doris in July of 2020.

Loving father of Michael (Kathleen) and Richard.

Dear grandfather of Mathew (Pia), David (Stacie) and Heather and great grandfather of Callie, Wesley and Rocco.

Brother of the late William and Terrance Brown and Joanne Gibb.

A veteran of WWII, Jim had retired from Victoria & Grey Trust Company as a bank manager and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 Wallaceburg.

He was a family man who took great pride and interest in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Growing up in Corunna, he was a member of the Corunna Giants baseball team, winning several OBA championships.

This may or may not have fostered his well-known competitiveness in anything sport resulting in many golf and curling championships.

Jim was a member of Rotary and former chair of the Easter Seal Campaign.

Later in life he and his bride took to ocean cruising and seeing the world.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Wednesday, March 31.

A private family service will follow.

The interment in Mooretown Cemetery will be held at a later date.
