Investigation continues after B&E and theft at New Vision in Wallaceburg

The investigation is ongoing and Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers has deemed the recent break-and-enter and theft at New Vision in downtown Wallaceburg their ‘Crime of the Week’.

“At approximately 5:40 a.m. on Sunday April 4, unknown suspects smashed the front door to New Vision Optical on James Street in Wallaceburg,” Crime Stoppers officials said in a media release.

“Once inside suspects removed 50-60 pair of various eye glasses. Estimated value of the theft is $10,000. This is the second incident of this type since January.”

Crime Stoppers is looking for people’s anonymous information that can provide the location of the stolen property or identify the person or people responsible for the theft.
