Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to the report of a suspicious person on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Through investigation, police located a woman who was wanted for theft under $5,000, being unlawfully in a dwelling and mischief.

The 32-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and released pending a future court date of May 11, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police arrested a woman who was wanted for breaching her probation order, theft under $5,000, failing to comply with her release conditions and failing to attend court.

The 28-year-old Chatham woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with driving while under suspension

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, shortly after 10 p.m. an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Sandys Street in Blenheim.

Through investigation, the officer confirmed that the man was suspended from driving for unpaid fines.

The 26-year-old Blenheim man was charged with driving while under suspension.

He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on May 19, 2021.

Theft of tools in Chatham Township

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and Monday at 8 a.m. unknown suspects entered a residence under construction on Pioneer Line.

Once inside, the suspects stole various tools valued at approximately $3,500.
