Wallaceburg BIA hosting virtual town hall with Police Chief Gary Conn

The Downtown Wallaceburg BIA is hosting a virtual town hall meeting focused downtown security on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Chatham-Kent Police Service Chief Gary Conn will be logged on for the meeting, BIA officials say.

“Join us to have your downtown Wallaceburg security questions answered by Chief of Police Gary Conn,” BIA officials said on social media.

“Recent audit “Crime Prevention by the Environment” of downtown businesses will be reviewed at this meeting as well. This includes tips on how to increase the security of your building.”

“If you have questions that you would like addressed but are unable to attend, please forward them to the BIA email wallaceburgbia@live.ca and we will have someone ask them on your behalf,” BIA officials say, adding the event link will be sent via email once registration is confirmed.

Chief Conn is also set to provide an update on downtown Wallaceburg crime occurrences this year, along with an overview of the recently approved Community Wellbeing Plan.
