Rollover crash leads to impaired driving charges in Dawn-Euphemia

Lambton OPP officials allege: On July 5, 2021 at 5:05 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded, along with Lambton Emergency Medical Service (EMS), to a single motor vehicle roll-over on Bentpath Line, Dawn-Euphemia Township.

No injuries were sustained by the driver of the vehicle or the three passengers who were under 10-years-old.

Upon speaking with the driver it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage, at which time a roadside screening device was administered.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation and was transported to the Petrolia OPP detachment where they provided two samples over the legal limit.

A 33-year-old Dawn-Euphemia woman has been charged with:

– Operation While Impaired- Alcohol and Blood

– Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
