Police: B&E’s, traffic stop leads to arrest, suspicious person

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In the early morning hours a local business on Library Lane in Chatham was broken into and several electronic devices taken.

The suspect was caught on video surveillance and was positively identified.

The man was located in the area of the store in the afternoon and placed under arrest.

A 34-year-old Chatham man was released on break and enter charges with a future court date of August 10, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Unknown suspects entered a business compound on Seventh Line in Chatham.

The suspects attempted to steal a truck and drove it into a fence.

The suspects left only causing damages to the property.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A motorcycle was stopped on Duncan Street in Wallaceburg.

The man operating the motorcycle was known to police and currently suspended from driving.

The driver has been charged seven times in the past 10 months for driving while under suspension.

He arrested and held for bail.

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Suspects entered a location on Murray street Wallaceburg.

The home owners interrupted the entry and the suspects fled in a vehicle that was eventually found abandoned and towed.

This break and enter is currently under investigation.

Suspicious vehicle leads to warrant arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A vehicle was parked on Baldoon Road in Chatham in the early morning hours.

Officer approached the vehicle and found two man inside. A check found that the driver had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.

The man was arrested and held for bail.
