Bluewater BorderFest is pleased to announce “OktBorderFest” taking place on October 1st and 2nd.
The Friday, October 1st line up includes; The Glorious Sons with Born Ruffians as the support band and local artist RodneyJames Medwid opening the night.
On Saturday October 2nd, Barenaked Ladies will headline the show, with Sarnia’s own Kim Mitchell as the support artist and a local band to be announced.
A slight change has been made moving the site from the parking lot at Starlight Casino Point Edward, to WaterFront Park in the Village of Point Edward to allow for greater social distancing in the open park area.
Both vaccinated and unvaccinated fans are able to attend the event.
The event has partnered to have 3rd party Covid-19 from testing available onsite from Fit For Work – Occupational Health and Safety Clinic.
This will be the first event in Ontario to offer this testing onsite for attendees needing to obtain a Covid-19 test.
If unvaccinated, a negative Covid-19 test will be required to enter the event.
If fully vaccinated, proof of both vaccines will be required.
The event volunteers have worked extremely hard to ensure that this event is available to be attended by both vaccinated and unvaccinated attendees, as we respect personal choices and want to ensure that to the best of the events ability, this is a safe event for all patrons to attend and enjoy. More details about this will be posted under the covid19 tab on www.BluewaterBorderFest.ca
“Safety is our top priority and we would like to thank all the partnership agencies, the Village of Point Edward and Gateway Casinos, as we continue partnering together to support the return of live music events to Sarnia-Lambton”, stated Bluewater BorderFest Chair, Brian McNair.
“The updated policies reflect what has similarly been initiated by other event promoters including Live Nation for outdoor concert events, as well as following performers, industry and public health recommendations. We have worked extremely hard to make sure every option is available and easy for all fans to attend this event safety”.
