Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday a post on the social media application called TikTok circulated internationally.
The post, also referred to as a challenge, encouraged students to engage in violence towards their schools on December 17th.
As a result, the Chatham-Kent Police were made aware and there was an increase in patrols around the schools as a precaution.
The Chatham-Kent Police would like remind the members of public of the implications that can arise in regards to social media involvement and internet usage.
Parents are encouraged to remain vigilant and educate their children.
Media can be used for positive interactions, though improper usage can result in consequences.
