Robbery in Chatham leads to crash and arrest in Ingersoll

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 12:10 p.m. on January 21, 2022 at the Wellington Street LCBO in Chatham, a Brampton man and woman assaulted a man in the parking lot and stole his vehicle.

It was last seen going at a high rate of speed eastbound on Highway 401.

The vehicle was involved in a collision near Ingersol where both parties were arrested for robbery.

Both were transported to hospital, where they were medically cleared.

Chatham-Kent Police attended Ingersol and took custody of the two, transported them to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where they were held for bail and remanded into custody until their next court appearance on January 24, 2022.
