James Street Drop-In temporarily extends hours

The James St. Drop-In location in Wallaceburg is set to be open for 24 hours, starting earlier this morning, February 17, 2022.

“Due to an urgent need in the community, James St. Drop-In will be open for the next 24 hours beginning at 10 a.m. today,” United Way of Chatham-Kent officials stated.

“If you or someone you know is in need of shelter, warmth and support, our doors are open.”

The James St. Drop-In is located at 719 James Street in Wallaceburg, adjacent to the St. James of the Apostle Anglican Church.

Chatham-Kent Victim Services will also be at the centre.

“Staff and volunteers from CK Victim Services will be on-site at the James St. Mission from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to provide support to those impacted by the fire overnight in Wallaceburg,” Victim Services officials say.
“If anyone who needs support cannot make it today, please call our office at 519-436-6630.”
